“Greece will exit the memoranda and the strict supervision in August 2018,” government vice president Yiannis Dragasakis said on Thursday addressing an international conference “Alliance for Entrepreneurship and Development in Western Greece”, which was held at Patras at the initiative of the region of Western Greece.
“It is well on track and nothing can hinder it or divert it. We are moving ahead with determination and based on government planning all outstanding issues will be solved earlier than expected,” he added.
He underlined that priority must be given on the planning of the post-memorandum Greece and the creation of the conditions for a new model of sustainable and fair development, without the mistakes of the past.
Moreover, he stressed that “we need to identify the opportunities and use them in a coordinated way to accelerate growth, drastically reduce unemployment and combat inequalities that have been dangerously widened in the years of the crisis and the memoranda.”
