Year-on-year inflation in Greece remained stable to 1.1 pct in December 2017 compared with 1.1 pct in November and 0.3 pct a year earlier, according to data released by Eurostat on Wednesday.
In the euro area, annual inflation was at 1.4 pct in December compared to 1.5 pct in November and 1.1 pct a year earlier.
At an EU level, annual inflation was at 1.7 pct in December, up from 1.5 pct in November and 1.2 pct a year ago. The lowest annual inflation rates were recorded in Cyprus (-0.4 pct), Ireland (0.5 pct) and Finland (0.5 pct). The highest annual inflation rates were recorded in Estonia (3.8 pct), Lithuania (3.8 pct) and the United Kingdom (3.0 pct).
