Positive messages for Greek companies emerged during the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF), held in Berlin from March 5 to March 7, Enterprise Greece said in a press release on Tuesday.
The conference, which was held for the 21st consecutive year, is recognised as the leading venue for the tourism investment industry.
Enterprise Greece regularly participates in the IHIF but this year further reinforced its presence with the organisation of a roundtable dedicated to Greece, which was attended by more than 30 potential investors, investment fund managers, international hotel chain executives and construction sector executives.
Among the speakers was Enterprise Greece’s General Manager of Investment, Angela Michalopoulou, who presented the latest figures on Greece’s economy and tourism, the constant development of the country’s infrastructure and the exceptional opportunities Greece currently offers in terms of the development of complex tourist accommodation and alternative forms of tourism in many different regions of the country. Special mention was made to the possibilities generated by use of the Golden Visa Programme for investors, matchmaking services between foreign and Greek companies offered by Enterprise Greece, as well as investor support services at all stages of the implementation of an investment.
In addition, during the conference, 25 individual meetings were held with executives from Germany, Spain, China, France, the Netherlands and the aim of the meetings was to present the investment opportunities offered by Greece in the tourism and real estate sectors.
