Iternational Monetary Fund revises growth forecast for Greek economy

Iternational Monetary Fund revises growth forecast for Greek economy to 2.4% growth for 2019. This forecast is improved by 0.6%, as in April 2018. The Fund estimates that this year’s growth will reach 1.8%.

For Greece’s current account deficit, the IMF predicts that it will grow to 0.8% of GDP this year, while for 2019 it sees an increase in the current account deficit, estimated at 0.4% of GDP.

In addition, the IMF estimates that the unemployment rate will fall by 1.6% this year (2017 was 21.5%) to 19.9% %, and for 2019 estimates that the percentage will fall further to 18.1%.
