Greece 1st in Europe in “Green” Energy: Yesterday 54% of electricity came from wind parks

Yesterday, Monday, Greece got the first position in the field of ‘green’ energy, particularly in wind power.

According to data from the Hellenic Scientific Wind Energy Association, the daily wind energy production in our country reached 59.1 GWh yesterday, covering 54% of the energy mix.

Based on this performance, Greece took the first place by a considerable margin in the relative ranking of the European Wind Energy Association, with Austria following with a percentage just over 35% of electricity from wind energy.
